Overview
SumsAI is a free tool built to help students study smarter. We take your privacy seriously and we've kept things as simple as possible — we don't run accounts, we don't sell data, and we don't store what you upload.
This page explains exactly what happens when you use SumsAI, what third-party services are involved, and what limited data is collected automatically.
Content You Upload
When you paste text, upload a PDF, or submit images, that content is sent directly to the Gemini API (by Google) for processing. The AI reads your content, generates a visual summary, and returns the result to you.
We do not store, save, or have access to anything you upload. Your content is processed and gone.
For information on how Google handles data sent to the Gemini API, please refer to Google's Gemini API Terms.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use SumsAI — things like which pages are visited, how long sessions last, and where traffic comes from. This helps us improve the tool over time.
Google Analytics collects anonymous usage data through cookies. It does not identify you personally. You can opt out at any time using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Advertising
SumsAI displays ads served by Google AdSense to help keep the tool free. Google AdSense uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our site and other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.
Server Logs
Like any website, our hosting provider automatically records standard server logs — these may include your IP address, browser type, and the time of your request. This is standard practice across the web and is handled by our hosting provider, not by us directly.
